Remember, wildlife can transmit the rabies virus, a deadly disease to animals and people.
All uninjured wildlife should be left as found because young animals may have been momentarily left alone by adult animals. More information may be found at the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife.
A licensed professional wildlife specialist should be contacted regarding wildlife that is bothersome, that is injured, or acting strangely. Alternatively, a wildlife rehabilitator such as Tufts Wildlife Clinic could be contacted at (508) 839-7918 so that wildlife may receive proper medical care if injured.
