Jeanne Pennell | Practice Manager
Jeanne lives in Uxbridge with her husband, Bob, and daughter, Erin, along with her cats, Mickey and Sophie, and her dog, Cayden, from BayPath Humane Society. Jeanne is a graduate of Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. She serves on the Board of Directors for Dog Orphans, a no-kill shelter in Douglas, Massachusetts.
In her spare time, she likes to golf and travel and expand her palate of new and exciting vegetables.
Adrienne O'Rourke | Customer Service Supervisor
We welcomed Adrienne to PawSteps in November, 2014 as a customer service representative who brought to this position extensive experience in the health care environment. She lives in Mendon with her husband, Tim and her two sons, Chris and Dan. Adrienne also shares her home with Buddy, an 11-year old Cock-a-Poo.
Adrienne is an avid runner and has completed 4 Boston Marathons. She is also active in Cross-Fit where she loves to participate in competitions for fundraisers for local charitable organizations. Adrienne consistently receives recognition for the most punctual and professionally attired member of the staff.
Kelly Wilson | Customer Service Representative
Kelly joined PawSteps in May, 2016 as a customer service representative. Kelly has over 12 years experience in the veterinary field, where his roles have included both customer service and technician positions. Originally from Atlanta, Kelly, his husband of 10 years, and his mother relocated to Rhode Island this past year. Kelly and his family share their home with two Dalmatians, Jewels and Titan, and a Teacup Chihuahua named Gynger.
Kelly enjoys traveling, anything involving Disney, and breeding and showing Dalmatians. In his short time here, Kelly has shown he is not afraid to get his hands dirty and helps out with whatever projects need to be completed.
Ben Wasik | Customer Service Representative
Ben joined PawSteps in July 2017 after graduating from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota with a bachelor's degree in biology. In the past, Ben has worked in a small animal clinic, with raptor and wildlife rehabilitation, and with hoofstock at a zoo. Originally from Chicago, Ben now lives in Wayland with his girlfriend, her family, and their adorable Cockapoo, Luna. He is pursuing further training in veterinary medicine and plans to one day attend veterinary school. In his spare time, Ben enjoys birding, exploring the outdoors, and cooking new and delicious recipes (and of course eating the finished products).
Jillian Jaena, CVT | Certified Veterinary Technician
We welcomed Jillian to our staff in February of 2016. Jillian's background includes experience in both a small animal practice and emergency medicine and she has a special interest in exotic animal medicine. She graduated from New England Institute of Technology, receiving an Associate's Degree in Animal Science. Jillian passed her Certified Veterinary Technician exam in December of 2015.
Jillian resides in Bellingham with John and her three cats named Buttons, Shea, and Sansa, Bentley, her Jack Russell Terrier, and her bearded dragon Daenerys. When not working at PawSteps, she enjoys crafting, boating, and fishing and is an asset to our trivia team as she is a history buff.
Kristi DeYoung, CVT | Certified Veterinary Technician
Kristi joined PawSteps in June of 2014, first as an intern and currently as a part-time technician. She received an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology from Becker College and her Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine in May, 2016. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Becker in December, 2016. Kristi lives in Sutton with her 3 dogs: Oreo, a terrier mix; Sammi, a shepherd mix; Diesel, a pitbull, and her cat Buster.
In her free time, Kristi enjoys reading and hiking with her dogs. When she is not at work, she likes to make up pop quizzes for the PawSteps Staff to test their knowledge.
Alex Igo | Veterinary Assistant
Alex joined our staff in March, 2014 to pursue further training in the veterinary field. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Salve Regina University where she completed both invertebrate and avian research. Alex lives in Franklin, where she grew up, with her parents, brother and their black lab, Tucker. She loves to take video her cat Paxton, especially when he jumps on the sliding towel pulled across the floor by her Dad - the Igo family really whoops it up. She loves spending time with friends and family anywhere near the ocean. Alex has also become our go-to IT technician, specializing in jamming and unjamming laminating machines.
Maryanne Aldrich | Veterinary Assistant
Maryanne started working at PawSteps in the spring of 2013 after working in the veterinary field for the last few years. She had previously attended Norfolk County Agricultural High School and earned her Associate's Degree in Animal Care from Becker College in 2007. While there, she completed additional courses at Becker for the care and handling of rats, mice, rabbits, and other small animals. She has recently taken a special interest in animal behavior and is working to learn how we can create a less stressful veterinary experience for our patients.
Maryanne lives in Northbridge with her husband, Michael, their son Brayden, and new addition to the family on 12/23/16, Harleigh Autumn. Their boisterous chocolate lab named Abbie is consistently keeping them on their toes. Maryanne loves to go fishing and camping and hopes to introduce their children to her love of the great outdoors.
Molly Provost | Veterinary Assistant
Molly joined our staff in August 2016 to pursue further training in the veterinary field. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Clark University. Molly lives in Paxton, MA with her parents, siblings and her cat, Dallas. She loves to hike and ride motorcycles on the weekends, spend time with her friends and family, and take cruises to exotic locations. Molly is currently enrolled in the Associates Program for Veterinary Technology at New England Institute of Technology and hopes to earn her CVT after completing this program.
Jessica Gingras | Veterinary Assistant
Jessica joined PawSteps in June, 2017 after completing her first year of veterinary school at Tufts. Originally from Maine, she received an art degree at Randolph-Macon College in Virginia, and later a post-baccalaureate certificate in Biology at the University of Southern Maine. Basically, she can't stop going to school. Jessica lives in Grafton with her husband, Bruno, their dogs, Henry and Fozzie, and cat, Reggie.
In their free time they all enjoy spending time with family and hiking (except Reggie, who is not a big hiker).
Cara Maroney | Veterinary Assistant
Cara started working at PawSteps in September of 2017 and has been working in the veterinary field since 2013. Cara has an Associate's Degree in Special Education and attended The University of Rhode Island for History and Secondary Education. She currently is enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program at PennFoster. Cara lives in Johnston, Rhode Island with her fiance Rich, and their two kids Richard and Harlie. Much of her free time is spent outdoors with her two Tamaskan dogs, Tatum and Winter Wonderland, Native American Indian Dog, Koda, and snuggling with her three legged tuxedo kitty, Clawdeen. Cara enjoys sushi rolls, gardening, and traveling to warmer climates.
